Every field has its own system of saints, the luminaries who are revered and held up as the experts on a particular topic. Often, these “patron saints” have earned their place in the field. Sometimes, the status is afforded to them. Though they are mere mortals, it sometimes seems like they can do no wrong.
So, how do your earn your sainthood? What is the threshold?
