Interrupting Everything

The New Album from the Rockmores

The Rockmores: Boston-area power-pop, post-punk smartrock. Get the new album: Interrupting Everything.Announcing the release of our new full-length album, called Interrupting Everything. It’s 10 songs about navigating today’s world and how technology affects our relationships. I’m proud of our efforts as a band – we’ve played together since late 2013, writing these songs any many more together. It’s a smart group of guys with complementary skills, and it’s been a lot of fun writing, practicing each week, and playing live shows over the past 5 years.

You can listen to all the songs here on our site right now – and we’ll have it on iTunes, Spotify, and CDs in the near future. If you choose to download them, an extra incentive – we give 100% of the proceeds of this record to charitable organizations. So you can feel good about supporting us for another reason too.

Most of all, we hope you enjoy the music.

Guitar Talk

For you gearheads out there – let’s talk guitars. Throughout this record, you’ll mostly hear my:

  • Fender Jaguar (Johnny Marr Signature Model, pictured here)
  • Gretsch Power Jet (with TV Jones pickups)

Running through one of two amps:

  • Juke Coda 1×10 (also in the photo)
  • Swart Space Tone Reverb

Not much in the way of effects – most of this record was done guitar into cranked amp, the way the guitar gods intended. You’ll hear some exceptions to that, such as my:

  • Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master for some subtle slapback
  • Keeley Compressor for a little more sustain

I also used a a couple other guitars for accents here and there:

  • Rickenbacker 340
  • Guild D-40 acoustic

Of course, feel free to ask me anything about individual tracks!
