I’m tired of having very little impact, how about you? This song reflects the sense of exhaustion and powerlessness we all feel from living through the past decade of American decline.
It didn’t start when the Demon descended the cursed Escalator in 2015. Its roots go back to Ronald Reagan, the consummate pitchman for an idea that took 40 years to fully metastasize.
Reaganism thrives in the fertile soil of disinformation, and we need to pull it up by its roots if we have any hope of getting back to work towards America’s ideals again. The ideals were always the good part, even if we never lived up to them.
