Big week for us. We have three shows this week, which is unusual for us. Though we get together weekly to practice and write songs together, we play out roughly once a month.
If you and I have talked about playing music, you know that my interest lies in the writing. I like performing, but the writing is what does it for me. But… there’s nothing like playing live for people. Not only is it about presenting the songs and making a connection with people, but it’s the only way that you get better and tighter as a band.
After this week, we’ll expect to be a lot tighter then! Looking forward to playing with my brothers in rock, The Rockmores. If you’re local (Boston/Cambridge area), come on out and spend some time with us this week. Here’s the schedule, subscribe here for updates all about upcoming dates.
The Rockmores @ Thunder Road
TUESDAY, JUNE 25: 9:00PM
This is a benefit show to help support PIH (Partners In Health) in fighting around the world to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. Our drummer, Dave DeSimone, works for PIH. We will be playing 2 sets: 9pm and 10pm.
The Rockmores @ Plough and Stars
THURSDAY, JUNE 27: 11:00PM
Our first time playing this amazing venue – one of the best small spaces in the Boston area to see live music. Intimate space, great sound, so we’re really excited. We’re headlining The Artist Jackie Showcase.
The Rockmores @ Union Tavern
SATURDAY, JUNE 29: 5:00PM
An early show on a summer Saturday! Come grab some dinner and hang with us. We will be playing 2 sets: 5pm and 6pm. We really like this venue – we played there earlier this year for the first time. Happy to be returning to try out an earlier time slot.
