I am a writer and performer, and a purveyor of fine “grooveless urban folk” since the late 80s. I usually perform solo in a Billy Bragg-style, folk format with an electric guitar. My songs tend to be stories, and songs about, well… my other songs. I know, I can’t help it.
I started a fledgling “record” label, called Control Mouse Music (CMM), to produce and release my music. I hope to expand it to produce other bands in the future. My goal is ultimately to make it a charitable organization, donating half of all label profits to charity. No danger of profits anytime soon, so I have some time. There are two main projects under Control Mouse Music (http://controlmousemusic.com):
Michael Boezi (or *daisy*): Solo act, “grooveless urban folk” under the “band” name *daisy* (often working with a revolving set of musicians to help) or under my own name, Michael Boezi. I released an EP in March 2009 called So Cold (available on iTunes: http://bit.ly/cmm-001).

The Selectmen: Four-piece smartrock band of veteran Boston bashers. Me = voice and guitar, with a lot more power behind me. We write the songs together, though. We released an EP in March 2012 called Introducing The Selectmen (available on iTunes at: http://bit.ly/cmm-002).

My latest project is the Mobile Sound Lab, where I’m experimenting in using simple tools to impose limitation on the creative process. You can hear it all on Soundcloud at http://bit.ly/MobileSoundLab.
