Michael Boezi writes and performs original songs about current challenges in the culture in a busking, “electric folk” Billy Bragg style. In addition to performing solo, he is also guitarist/writer in The Rockmores, a Boston-based power-pop quartet.
Michael performs regularly in the metro Boston area, and is currently releasing a series of SONGS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE featuring some of Boston’s best musicians as collaborators: Andrew Stern (Mark Erelli Band, Dennis Brennan Band), Dave Brophy (Will Dailey, Alisa Amador), Jessye DeSilva, Britt Connors, and some co-writing with acclaimed Americana artist Bob Bradshaw. These singles are available in all streaming platforms and Bandcamp under “Michael Boezi.”
Michael’s music has drawn comparisons to Billy Bragg, Andrew Bird, Kurt Vile, Johnny Marr, Lord Huron, Eels, Shins, Mark Knopfler, R.E.M., Squeeze, and Jason Mraz. Themes:
