She writes and performs high-energy acoustic songs that inspire hope\, build community\, and incite resistance! Evan tours internationally as a musician and speaker\, and facilitates interactive workshops to support movements for justice and liberation. Evan has collaborated\, toured\, and shared stages with artists as musically diverse as Pete Seeger\, Against Me!\, Talib Kweli\, Tom Morello\, Against Me!\, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists\, Michael Stipe\, Amanda Palmer\, Immortal Technique\, Kimya Dawson\, Thurston Moore\, Hari Kondabolu\, Billy Bragg\, Pamela Means\, Anti-Flag\, Downtown Boys\, The Coup\, Anne Feeney\, Oi Polloi\, Dispatch\, Dirty Projectors\, Screaming Females\, and Chumbawamba. \nEvan is also currently the campaign director for Fight for the Future\, the viral digital rights nonprofit behind the largest online protests in history. Born and raised in Cambridge\, Massachusetts\, JU$T JILL has been rapping since 2013. \nShe is also affiliated with the Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective\, a non-profit organization that holds local hip-hop cyphers in Central Square\, Cambridge\, also known as the ‘Bridgeside Cypher’. The Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective’s cyphers are a safe space for artists and musicians to be able to step out of their comfort zone without feeling judged or critiqued. They encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to join their cyphers. \nJU$T JILL makes sure she stands out in the Boston rap scene with her originality and creativity in her music\, from nostalgic 90’s hip-hop to parody rap songs. DESCRIPTION:I put down my guitar for a few minutes to put on a fundraiser with my compatriots at Boston For All\, an activist group that runs a series of community events to raise money for organizations who are doing amazing on-the-ground work. \nArt For All is\, in my opinion\, our best event. Local artists offer their work in a unique art sale that lets you decide how much you’ll pay for original works. And whatever you decide to pay\, 100% of the money goes directly to La Colaborativa\, a Chelsea-based organization helping Latinx immigrants in all of the Boston area. \nIn 2019\, we raised over $12\,000 at Art For All 2 (also at Aeronaut)\, 100% of which went directly to BIJAN to help some of our most vulnerable neighbors detained in immigration prison. \nAbout the event: \n\nArt For All 3\nSunday\, May 15 12:00-3:00pm\nAeronaut Brewery: 14 Tyler St.\, Somerville\, MA\n\nMore about La Colaborativa\nLa Colaborativa empowers Latinx immigrants to enhance the social and economic health of our community and our people; and to hold institutional decision makers accountable to the community.
